I used the bobble stitch on the rows of the bright colors and they just help to make those rows stand out even more!  If you didn’t want to use multiple different colors for the color rows, you could just use 1 color and separate it with the white.

About This Bobble Stitch Blanket

This blanket is made using some basic crochet stitches like single crochet and double crochets along with a fun stitch that adds a lot of texture to the blanket called bobble stitches.  Aside from the rows of double crochet, the bobble rows are made using the same 4 row pattern repeat over and over throughout the pattern.

I chose to use one of my favorite #4 worsted weight yarns called Brava Worsted from We Crochet.  It is an acrylic yarn but is super soft in feel and works up beautifully.

It comes in a wide variety of different colors so you could use any color combination that you would like for this bobble stripe blanket.  A creative idea is to make every bobble row a different color if you wanted to.

You could use any type of yarn that is similar in weight and feel of this yarn for this bobble stripe baby blanket, but a worsted weight, acrylic is the best yarn for this blanket.

Crochet blankets are one of my favorite things to make and I especially love crocheting baby blankets.  And this blanket was no exception, it was a super fun pattern to design!

I loved incorporating all the colors into this bobble stitch crochet blanket pattern.  There are so many different colours that you could use to make this blanket in.
