Introducing Penelope the Unicorn! Isn’t she cute?!

I have been in a mood to make amigurumi for some reason here lately and I have never made an unicorn before. So, I thought it was about time.

Best thing about this pattern is that the head and body is one piece! That makes for one less thing to sew together in the end.

And, I think that this speckled yarn is just perfect for her! It really gives her unicorn vibes.

I must say that amigurmi is an art. It takes patience and practice to sew all the pieces together and to get them straight and even. But, as with anything, practice makes perfect.

Enough talking from me, go get started making your own Penelope the Unicorn!

Gently pull the curl to loosen it

Cut yarn leaving tail.

Assembly –

I start with the head 1st.

Sometimes it is easier for me to pin all the pieces to the body before I sew them on, to make sure they are lined up correctly.

Lightly stuff the nose with poly fil. Using the eyes as guide, stitch the nose on, adding more stuffing as you go.

Next I attach the ears. 1st, take the bottom of the ears and pinch them in half and sew the bottom together

Now, line the ears up and sew them to the head.

Next, stuff and sew on the horn.

I like to go ahead and finish the head by attaching all the curls to the head.

Lastly, sew on the legs and arms.

Weave in any ends if there are any left.
