hey, i’m kylee!
I’m so glad that you made it to my little corner of the internet.
Be sure and follow me on my socials so you will never miss a FREE PATTERN! I hope that you can find something fun to make with me!
I’m an Oklahoma born and raised Country gal. If you have been on my site for just a minute, you can already probably tell that I absolutely love to crochet! And to buy yarn (we can’t forget that is a hobby all it’s own 😉
Thankfully, pattern designing and this blog has turned into my full time job! I feel like I have been so blessed with this opportunity.
I’m a big animal lover! Cats, dogs or birds I love them all. I have 2 cockatiels, both are boys and extremely spoiled. This is Herbie, I have had him since he was 3 months old and he is now almost 8 years old. His little face gets me every time.
I also have 2 outdoor cats and 2 indoor dogs. What can you say, I love them all!
A few fun facts about me
- I’m a follower of Jesus and play the saxophone in our church.
- If you can’t tell, I love all the colors 🌈 ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖
- I was homeschooled my entire school years (and absolutely loved it 🥰)
- If I had chosen a different profession, I probably would have become a cosmetologist 💇🏼♀️
My favorite verse:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
My Beginning of Knit & Crochet
I learned to knit first. I was 13 and actually wanted to knit my youngest brother, who was on the way, a baby blanket. An older woman showed me how to cast on and do the knit stitch, but I never finished the blanket. I kept knitting and knitting and finally decided that it wasn’t getting very big for as long as I had been working on it. I decided to frog it and when I took it off the circular needles it was over 6 feet wide. I guess she thought I wanted to make him a big blanket, but I didn’t have that much patience with knitting yet. So, the first project I ever finished knitting was a simple, garter stitch scarf.
I learned to crochet a couple of years after I learned to knit. I learned how to crochet like a lot of y’all did, YouTube. In fact, youtube is my main place to go when I have questions on certain stitches and techniques.
If I had to pick only one of the two, I’d pick crochet. I’ve made patterns for both, but tend to lean way more towards crochet.
I hope that y’all will enjoy all the patterns and tutorials that I have put together.
