If you are looking for the perfect pocket shawl pattern, then look no farther! This pocket shawl is made with a simple stitch pattern that is made using a 1 row repeat. Scroll down for the complete pattern!

This pattern is literally made from just a couple of rectangles, a large rectangle and 2 small rectangles. This is the perfect pattern to make even if you are more on the beginner side of crochet! It uses simple stitches and is so quick and easy to make which makes it the perfect accessory.
Details About This Free Pocket Shawl Pattern
I used a special stitch for the pocket shawl called the Even Moss Stitch. It uses basic stitches like chain stitches, half double crochet stitches and slip stitches. Those are the only 3 stitches that you need to know to make this easy project.

My yarn choice for this project is Brava Tweed Yarn from We Crochet. This is a worsted-weight yarn and also an acrylic yarn. This specific yarn has 15 different color options. Check it out on the WE CROCHET SITE!
This is a fairly easy crochet pattern and you just need to know the basics of crochet to make it.
You could also add fringe to the shawl if you wanted to. I usually love adding fringe to my scarf and shawl projects. Learn how to make and add fringe with THIS TUTORIAL!

How to Alter This Pocket Shawl Pattern
If you are wanting to make this shawl a little bit wider or longer, it is super easy to adjust this pattern. My finished shawl is approx. 62” long and 16” wide. Adjusting the length of your shawl is very easy as you can either add extra or take away rows.
For reference, I’m 5′ tall and 62” long and 16” wide is the perfect size for me
Adjusting the width isn’t very hard either. This stitch pattern works by starting with any odd number of chain stitches. I started with 59 chain stitches but you can start with any odd number of stitches that you would like depending on the width the you desire.
