I’ve always loved making baby things. Maybe it’s because they are so tiny and usually quick projects, but it has been awhile since I’ve made any baby hats or booties. So, I created this little Newborn Hat and Booties Crochet Pattern this week and thought that I’d share it with y’all!

I made the hat first and then thought that it needed a matching pair of baby booties. Both are newborn in size.

The Yarn I Used –

I used Hobby Lobby’s Baby Bee Soft and Sleek in the color Bedtime Giggles. It’s a #4 worsted weight yarn. So far, I’ve made 1 pair of booties and 2 hats from just 1 skein and still have a good bit left over. I’m thinking I could get another pair of booties out of it too.

Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek is a big favorite of mine! This Baby Bee feels like the same yarn, just in cute baby colors.

Of course, any worsted #4 yarn will work! As long as you can obtain the correct gauge.

  1. I think that all of your patterns are pretty and so are you. I would like permission to print one or two of your patterns. Being “long in tooth”, I need to have hard copy to mark my place. Thank you for the work that you do.

    1. Thank you! you are more than welcome to print the patterns, if you are able. I do sell the PDF’s in my Etsy shop that may be easier to print.
