Want an easy, 1 row repeat pattern for washcloths? Then you will love this griddle stitch washcloth pattern! It’s so easy to crochet but produces a nice texture.
I chose to use a stitch called the ‘Griddle Stitch’. It is super easy to crochet and consist of basic stitches like chains, single crochet stitches and double crochet stitches.
This stitch is also the exact same as the ‘Lemon Peel Stitch’.
I used a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn for these washcloths called Dishie. I get asked a lot where I order my Dishie yarn from and I order it from Crochet.com (formally We Crochet.) This brand is only available online on their website.
Can I Make a Different Sized Washcloth?
Yes, this pattern is very easy to adjust to make any size of washcloth that you would like. Mine came out 8.5” wide starting with a chain of 29 stitches. To adjust the size, you can start this pattern with any odd number of stitches.
