Can’t decide whether to make a washcloth or a scrubby? Why not make both with this Double Sided Scrubby Washcloth Pattern?! That’s what I did!

I had bought this yarn a few weeks ago and couldn’t decided on whether to make scrubbies with it or washcloths so I decided to combine them and make a 2 in 1! One side has the softer washcloth side and the other has the rougher scrubby side.
You crochet 2 pieces and them single crochet them around the edges to join them so you have a thick and durable washcloth.

I think that these washcloths would be great for dishes but would also work for your body too. I think that the scrubby side would be great to help exfoliate and scrub with. They are very versatile.

I chose to used a ribbed pattern to give this washcloth more texture. It’s really easy to do by crocheting into the back loops only of the stitch instead of both of them. If you don’t know how to crochet into the back loops of a stitch then you will want to check out my video tutorial as I go into detail about it there.

Row 2 – 26: ch 1, t, blsc in each st across. (25)
do NOT cut yarn, just set this piece aside and make the next piece

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each ch st across (21)
Row 2 – 26: ch 1, t, blsc in each st across. (21)
*also note that if you have a hard time finding the back loops of the scrub-ology yarn, you can just work regular single crochet if you would like.
cut yarn on the 2nd piece.
Take both pieces and line them up evenly on top of each other and evenly single crochet the 2 pieces together all the way around the edges making sure to place 2 single crochet in each corner.
sl st into the 1st sc when you get back to the beginning and cut your yarn and weave in the ends.
