I’m so excited to finally share my C2C Christmas Lights Blanket Pattern with you!  If you follow me on social media, then you have probably seen some pictures of me working on this blanket at some point.  I know many people have told me that they can’t wait for this free crochet Christmas blanket pattern and I’m so glad that it is finally finished!

This is a really festive pattern that is perfect for the holiday season!  The lights or bulbs on this blanket are made with fun Christmas colors that really pop!

Some of my Other C2C Christmas Blankets!

Nothing will put you in the holiday spirit like making a Christmas blanket!  If you enjoy crocheting large projects then you will love my c2c blankets that I designed for the Christmas season!

This is my 3rd Christmas C2C blanket that I have made over the past few years!  One of the last ones that I designed was my Snowman C2C Blanket

This was a super fun and cozy blanket to make!  If you love snowmen, this is the perfect blanket!  Find the free crochet pattern for it in THIS POST!

And the other C2C Christmas blanket that I made was this Christmas Tree Throw!  This was such a fun design to come up with.  It was my first Christmas c2 c blanket that I designed.  I even did a fun candy cane border for it.

It’s a really fun and festive blanket!  Find the free pattern for it in THIS POST!

Corner to Corner Christmas Blanket

This blanket is made with the corner to corner C2C stitch.  It uses basic crochet stitches like the chain stitch and double crochet stitch.  There is a bit of a learning curve to doing C2C but once you get the hang of it, you will be flying through this pattern!

If you have never crocheted the corner to corner stitch before and this is your first time, then you will want to check out my full, in depth tutorial for it in THIS POST!

I’d highly recommend practicing the c2 c crochet technique before attempting to crochet this blanket if you have never had experience with C2C before.

I chose to leave off a border for this blanket.  I didn’t want to take anything away from the blanket and since it already had so much going on with all the different colors of yarn, I personally didn’t want a border.

If you really want to do a border, you could something simple like a single crochet border around the edges in either white or even black.  I also think the crab stitch border might look good on this blanket!

Types of Instructions Included in this Pattern

For this Christmas crochet blanket pattern, I have a made a pixel chart / graph if you like to check off the individual squares as you go. This is a great way to get a visual of how it will all come together.

And, for an added bonus, I’m giving y’all the pixel chart as a free download!  Lots of designers will only give these if you purchase the pattern, but I’m just giving it to you!  Find the downloadable pixel chart under the Supplies section down below!  Or keep scrolling down for the written pattern.

If going off the pixel chart, use a smart phone or tablet to view it instead of printing it out.  This way you can enlarge the chart and see the individual squares.

I have also included the line by line written instructions for this pattern. I know that it is always a great thing with corner to corner projects to have line by line written directions, so I included them as well.

Yarn I Used

I chose to use Brava Worsted yarn for this specific pattern.  It is a #4 worsted weight, acrylic yarn and works great for this beautiful blanket.

You could swap out any other worsted weight yarn that is similar in feel and weight to this one.  I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby is a great choice.

Cut all yarn and weave in ends.

I chose to not put a border around this blanket because I felt like it looked complete without one, but feel free to finish it off with a border like single crochet around the edges of the entire blanket if you’d like.
