Washcloths are a great way to use up some scrap cotton yarn that you may have laying around somewhere.

They also make for a neat gift idea! A couple crocheted washcloths, a bar or 2 of some fancy soap and maybe some body wash and you have the perfect gift with a handmade touch to it.

About This Washcloth Pattern

This washcloth pattern is made using a fun crochet stitch called the ‘Wattle Stitch.’ This stitch is a super easy 1 row repeat stitch pattern that just uses a few basic crochet stitches like chain stitches, single crochet stitches and double crochet stitches.

I also chose to use a fun yarn for this free pattern. I used Crafter’s Secret Cotton yarn in the colors Valentines and hot pink. This is a #4 worsted weight yarn that is durable and works up well.

I thought these colors where perfect for Valentine’s Day!
