The Sedge Stitch is a crochet stitch that is made using basic stitches but it produces such a beautiful texture.  This is a great stitch to pair with a striped yarn and you can make such cozy blankets that are so easy but look more advanced to make.

I have been using some of Yarnspirations Caron Baby Cakes yarn in the color skygazing and working on a sedge stitch baby blanket and this is the absolute perfect stitch to use.  Besides for having a great texture, it is so quick and easy to work up.

I can’t wait to finish this baby blanket because it will be absolutely perfect made with this easy stitch pattern.

And for those that are curious, the hook that I am using is a Cerulean Sea Streamline® Resin Hook from Furls! It is such a beautiful hook and glides very smoothly through the yarn.

The Sedge Stitch is a super easy stitch to crochet.  It is made from a single row repeat that uses basic crochet stitches like the single crochet stitch, half double and double crochet stitch.

I have both the written and video tutorial for this stitch.  If you are more of a visual learner, then be sure to check out the video tutorial.  If you would like the written pattern for this stitch, then keep on scrolling down for that!
