Easy Griddle Stitch Scarf Crochet Pattern

All crochet terms are US terms.

Things you will need:

• 2 Skeins of I Love This Yarn in Royal Gorge
• J / 6.00 mm Crochet Hook
• Yarn Needle / Tapestry Needle
• Scissors
• Tape Measure (optional)

Finished Measurements:

• Finished scarf is approx. 8.5” wide and 71” long.

Stitch Key:

• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• ch = chain
• t = turn
• sk = skip
• sp = space
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch (es)

Notes:

• This scarf is made with the griddle stitch.  Find a step by step tutorial and video IN THIS POST!
• To change the width of the scarf, you can start with a chain of any odd number of stitches.
• I will include other notes throughout the pattern when needed.

Pattern –

Chain 27 stitches

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch st from hook, dc in the next stitch *sc, dc* repeat * to * across. You should finish with a dc in the last st. (26)

Row 2: ch 1, t, single crochet in the first stitch (make sure that it is the dc from the previous row and not the turning chain), dc in the next stitch. * sc, dc * repeat all the way across. (26)

Continue repeating row 2 until your piece is as long as you would like.

Cut yarn and weave in all ends.
