I have another fun tunisian crochet stitch for you, this one is called the Tunisian Full Stitch!

It produces a very pretty piece and is a simple stitch to learn. This stitch is great for making blankets, cowls, shawls and scarves. It is a very basic and beginner friendly stitch to learn if you are new to tunisian crochet!

How to Crochet the Tunisian Full Stitch
In a pattern this stitch will be abbreviated like so
TFS = Tunisian Full Stitch
If you are a visual learner, then be sure to watch my video tutorial for the tunisian full stitch! Or keep scrolling down for the step by step and picture tutorial.
The tunisian full stitch does not require a specific number of stitches to do so there is no stitch multiple to work by. You can start with any number of chains that you would like.
Foundation Row
Start by chaining any number of stitches. Then insert your hook into the 2nd stitch from your hook going into the back bump of the chain stitch and pull up a loop

Continue picking up loops in each stitch across. You should have as many loops on your hook as the number of chains you started with. Example, if you chained 25 stitches, then you should have 25 loops on your hook.

ch 1

*yarn over and pull through 2 loops* continue repeating from * to * until you only have 1 loop on your hook.
You have now completed the foundation row and your piece should look like this

Row 1 of the Tunisian Full Stitch
Forward pass for row 1
Starting in the 1st space between the 2 vertical bars, insert hook and pull up a loop.

Continue across and pull up a loop in each space between the vertical bars. When you reach the very last space, do NOT pull up a loop, skip it and insert your hook into the V (edge stitch) at the end of the previous row (going under both loops) and pull up a loop
(Skip this space at the end of row 1)

(Insert hook and pull up a loop in the edge stitch)

Return pass for row 1
ch 1, *yarn over and pull through 2 loops* repeat * to * across. Row 1 of the Tunisian full stitch complete.
Row 2 of the Tunisian Full Stitch
Forward pass for row 2
Starting in the 2nd space between 2 vertical bars (skipping the 1st space) insert hook and pull up a loop.

Continue across pulling up a loop in each space across, including the very last space. Pull up a loop in the edge stitch.
Return pass for row 2
ch 1, *yarn over and pull through 2 loops* repeat * to * across. Row 2 of the Tunisian full stitch complete.

Continue repeating row 1 and row 2 until your piece is the length that you would like.
The main thing to remember with this stitch is if you work into the 1st space at the beginning of the row then skip the last space and if you skip the 1st space then make sure to work into the last space.
To finish off your work:
Slip in each space across. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
