This would make the absolute best blanket to make for a baby girl due around Valentine’s Day!!! I love how easy and how the speckled yarn worked up for this Heart Graphghan. It’s a simple Corner 2 Corner blanket with a Dot Border

I created both the written instructions (FREE below) and the graph (available in my Etsy shop) for this blanket.

To make this blanket you will need to know how to Corner to Corner Crochet. If you don’t know how to C2C or maybe need a refresher on this stitch, be sure to check out my full tutorial for it HERE

Things you will need:

Abbreviation:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc5tog = double crochet 5 stitches together
  • t = turn
  • st = stitch (es)
  • Sl st = slip stitch

dc5tog –

Yarn Over (YO), insert hook, YO, pull back through, YO, pull through two loops, *YO, insert hook into SAME space as before, YO, pull back through, YO pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * 3 more times. YO and pull through all 6 loops.

Notes –

  • You will need to know how to corner to corner (C2C) crochet to make this blanket.
  • I have created both a written pattern (FREE Below) and a pixel chart (Available in my Etsy Shop) for this blanket.
  • You will work the C2C square on the diagonal starting from bottom right corner to top left.
  • This blanket uses the Dot Border, Full Tutorial HERE

Border –

With the Hot Rose, evenly single crochet all the way around the blanket placing 2 sc in each corner, sl st into 1st sc.

To make the dot border, *Chain 3, in the first chain of those chain 3’s, dc5tog, slip stitch in the next 5 stitches* repeat * to * all the way around the blanket.
