I absolutely love bright colors and thought it would be perfect to incorporate them into a colorful little unicorn baby lovey! This crochet pattern is really easier than it may look, the lovey itself is just a 2 row repeat and you just change colors every couple of rows. But, the colors really make this Unicorn Baby Lovey to just stand out!

I’ve always enjoyed making baby items and this lovey was so fun to create! I quickly decided to use these fun and bright colors, but you could even use more pastel colors or even just stripe 2 colors, depending on your preference.

I’m really a sucker when it comes to making baby loveys! This one and my Dino Baby Lovey has to be my top 2 favorite loveys that I’ve ever made and designed.

I mean, just look at that mane?! What’s not to love about this adorable unicorn baby lovey?!

Assembly –
*Note on the ears – I fold the bottom sides together and sew just across the bottom to make them look more like unicorn ears

Sometimes it is easier for me to use the straight pins and pin all the pieces to the head before I sew them on, to make sure they are lined up correctly.

Lightly stuff the nose with poly fil. Using the eyes as guide, stitch the nose on, adding more stuffing as you go.

Now, line the ears up and sew them to the head.
Next, stuff and sew on the horn. I like to go ahead and finish the head by attaching all the curls to the head.

Once the Head is assembled, Set it aside and we will attach the arms to the lovey first.
I like the head of my Unicorn to face the corner of the blanket, so I attach the arms like this

You can now attach the head in the middle of the arms. I use the front loops from the row that we only crocheted in the back loops on the bottom of the head to sew through.

Weave in all ends and your Unicorn baby lovey is complete!
