I Love all things Summer and these Watermelon Scrubbies are definitely giving me all the Summer vibes! They are the perfect thing to crochet to help decorate your kitchen.

And, I already know what y’all are thinking! Where is the pattern for the Pineapple Scrubby in the background?! Don’t worry, you can find that pattern right HERE

The Yarn

I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Scrub-Ology ‘Scrub it!’ yarn to make these kitchen scrubbies. It comes in many different bright and fun colors!

It’s 100% nylon and is a #5 bulky yarn. It works up quickly and is easy to work with. Thankfully, it’s not too scratchy, so it doesn’t bother my hands when I crochet with it. I was afraid that it might be too rough, but it’s not at all.

Besides, the way it’s made being a scrubby yarn, it has this little bit of shimmer to it that really adds to the finished look of the piece.

Also, if you like this pattern, then you might also like one of my other scrubby patterns! These are simple and quick scrubbies that you can have made in 10-15 minutes each!

Just a side note –

The watermelon scrubbies are not perfectly flat when finished. Mine did curl a little on the edges, but it didn’t bother me. I just wanted to let everyone know because I will definitely be asked this question, lol. Which I never mind questions either, I just thought I’d save y’all a little time, haha.
