Summer = Watermelons, am I right?! I love everything and all things related to Summer and watermelons are only one of the many things. So, I decided to try my hand at tapestry crochet and design a watermelon pillow! This will make such cute decor on your patio this Summer!
This has been one of my first few projects that I have ever made using tapestry crochet and I’m in love with this technique! You can read more about this technique and how I like to work it HERE
For this pattern I have made both the written pattern and the color chart. The written pattern is FREE and down below. If you want the color chart, it can be purchased in my Etsy shop HERE (Listing is for the color chart & PDF Pattern)
This pillow is made in 2 pieces, a front panel and a back panel. Once both pieces have been made, you can then start slip stitching the edges together and stuffing the pillow.

- I Love This Yarn in Red, Cranberry, White, Keylime & Black
- Poly – Fil
- 5.00mm / H Hook
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Abbreviation:
- ch = chain
- t = turn
- sc = single crochet
- st = stitch (es)

Cut yarn, weave in ends
Back Panel –
With white
Row 1: ch 51, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each st across (50)
Row 2 – 36: ch 1, t, sc in each st across (50)
Do not cut the yarn
You will now slip st the edges of the front panel and the back panel together.
Ch 1 and begin to sl st evenly around the pillow. When you get to the last side you can stuff it with poly – fil
When you reach the end, cut the yarn and weave in ends.
