You always need a good bag for summer and this Ocean Breeze Bag is the perfect one. And the colors! The pretty aqua blue and light gray perfectly compliment each other and are nice colors for summer. This would be a great bag to throw your beach towel, swimsuit, and a couple other small items in and just head to the beach. It is made with cotton yarn, so if it gets wet, no problem, it can air dry with no effects to the yarn. I used the basket weave stitch to give it a different look than most summer bags. I think it would also look great in maybe a coral and bright white.

****If this step seems confusing to you, I also made a short video on how to do the loops****

Strap: With Aqua
Rnd 1: ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn (10)
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in each st across, turn Repeat rnd 2 until strap reaches desired length.
I made mine 32’’ long. It will stretch when attached to the bag and stuff is in the bag. I would make it a little shorter than you want it so when it stretches it isn’t too long. Of course, you may still have to make yours a little longer than mine because I’m only 5’ ½’’tall (and, yes, that half an inch counts) Attach dove color to strap, ch 1, sc across, do not turn, sc evenly down side of strap, sc across bottom, and evenly back up the other side of the strap.
Weave in all ends on the bag and attach your strap.
Cinch: The cinch is made up of 3 pieces of chains that I braided and tied together.
Make 3 chain pieces – 1 in dove, 2 in aqua
Ch 140, cut yarn. Tie the 3 pieces together at the ends, braid them, tie the other ends together and weave in ends.
Put on the bag through loops to cinch it closed. If you like the bag open, you could not make the cinch or the belt loops.
