The pink ribbon that stands for Breast Cancer Awareness is probably the most well known colored ribbon.  This Breast Cancer Awareness Cup Cozy is simple and works up in a jiffy!

I use the same cup cozy pattern that I used for my Fall Pumpkin Cup Cozy.   I use foundation single crochet in my starting row. Foundation single crochet is like your row of chain stitches and 1st row of single crochet done in 1 step. It is more stretchy than chain stitches, which helps the cozy to stretch and fit different sizes of cups.

Finished cozy measures 4.5” wide laying flat and 3” tall.

Things you will need:

  • I Love This Yarn in Greybeard / White and Pink / Tropical Pink
  • H / 5.00 mm Hook
  • Stitch Marker
  • Yarn Needle
  • Hot Glue Gun

Abbreviation:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • fsc = foundation single crochet
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • Sl st = slip stitch

Gauge:

  • 10 st x 14 r = 4” in sc

Go!

Cozy:

Row 1:  25 fsc, sl st into the 1st fsc of the row to form a ring (25)

Row 2-11:  ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st into the 1st sc of the round (25)

Cut yarn, weave in ends.

Ribbon:

Ch 21, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  Cut yarn, weave in ends.

I use a hot glue gun to hold my ribbon in place.  It’s a lot faster and easier for me than sewing it together and then to the cup cozy.  I’m sure you could still sew it though if you prefer to.

To shape the ribbon:

You are just going to lay it flat and twist it around.  Secure it in place with hot glue gun.

Now, just hot glue the ribbon to the cozy.

Have fun and crochet away
