Fall = Pumpkins, right?! And, if you are a crocheter, than that means we just have to crochet some amigurumi pumpkins!

For this pattern I have included 2 sizes (finished measurements are below) They are so easy and cute to make! You will have your own little pumpkin patch before you know it!

Things you will need:

Finished Measurements – Big Pumpkins = 6” across & 4.5” tall, Small Pumpkins = 3.5” across & 2.5” tall

Abbreviation:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • blsc = single crochet in the back loops only
  • sc2tog = single crochet 2 stitches together
  • mc = magic circle / ring
  • t = turn
  • st = stitch (es)
  • Sl st = slip stitch

— Small Pumpkin —

With desert glaze yarn

Round 1: 10 sc in mc (10)

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (20)

Round 3: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (30)

Round 4: * sc in 2 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (40)

Round 5 – 12: sc in each st around (40)

Round 13: * sc in 2 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (30)

Round 14: * sc in 1 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (20)

Stuff the pumpkin with poly fil

Round 15: sc2tog around (10)

Round 16: sc2tog around (5)

Cut yarn leaving a long tail to use to create the ridges around the pumpkin, shown below

— Big Pumpkin —

With desert glaze yarn

Round 1: 10 sc in mc (10)

Round 2: 2 sc in each st (20)

Round 3: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (30)

Round 4: * sc in 2 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (40)

Round 5: * sc in 3 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (50)

Round 6: * sc in 4 st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (60)

Round 7 – 22: sc in each st around (60)

Round 23: * sc in 4 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (50)

Round 24: * sc in 3 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (40)

Round 25: * sc in 2 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (30)

Round 26: * sc in 1 st, sc2tog* repeat * to * around (20)

Stuff the pumpkin with poly fil

Round 27: sc2tog around (10)

Round 28: sc2tog around (5)

Cut yarn leaving a long tail to use to create the ridges around the pumpkin, shown below

If your pumpkins look like this, a little holey on the top.  Don’t worry because we will cover that all up and you won’t be able to see it anymore once we’ve finished

Take your yarn tail and go through the middle from top to bottom

Pull fairly tight and repeat this 4 or 5 more times spacing the sections a little ways apart to create the ridges around the pumpkin

Once you have went through the pumpkin multiple times, pull tight and knot your end and weave it in

— Small Pumpkin Stem & Leaf —

Stem – with brown yarn

Round 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

Round 2: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next st* repeat * to * around (9)

Round 3: blsc in each st around (9)

Round 4 – 5: sc in each st around (9)

Cut yarn leaving a long tail to sew onto pumpkin

Leaf – with light sage

Ch 10, t, starting in the 2nd ch st from hook, work 3 sc in each st across

Cut yarn leaving a tail to sew onto the pumpkin

— Big Pumpkin Stem & Leaf —

Stem – with brown yarn

Round 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)

Round 3: * sc in 1 st, 2 sc in next * repeat * to * around (18)

Round 4: blsc around (18)

Round 5 – 7: sc in each st around (18)

Cut yarn and leave a long tail to sew onto pumpkin

Leaf – with light sage yarn

Ch 15, t, starting in the 2nd ch st from hook, work 3 sc in each st across

Cut yarn leaving a tail to sew onto the pumpkin

Sew the stem onto the pumpkin 1st, stuff with a little poly fil if needed

Sew on the curly leaf.

Weave in all ends.
