This isn’t your typical Santa Hat Crochet Pattern, this one is made with a super soft and plush ‘Faux Fur’ yarn and a Velvet like yarn. I used Yarn Bee ‘Velvety Smooth Sparkle’ yarn, but you could just use the Velvety Smooth with no sparkle.

But, I will say that it is the comfiest Santa Hat that I have made!

I also made a different Santa Hat Pattern last year with 6 sizes from NB all the way to Adult, find that pattern HERE. It uses just a worsted weight #4 yarn.

Just a tip –

The fur yarn isn’t the easiest to see your stitches with. But, don’t let that intimidate you. What I found out is that you have to try and count as you go along, because it’s a little harder to go back and count your stitches. But, the best thing I found to do is to just feel the stitches to count them. You can easily feel each stitch and that’s the best way to see how many stitches you have.

Plus, if you do make a mistake, fur yarn is very forgiving and most likely no one will ever know. Even you probably won’t be able to see it, because I sure can’t.
